Does Edifree edit?
No! Edifree is a simple, but advanced online system, that allows authors to print, distribute, and sell their works.
Who holds copyright, are there any commitments, and what if I want to cancel?
You hold copyright, and there are no commitments. Cancellation can be done with one click.
What is Print On Demand (POD)?
An advanced digital printing process, that only prints books when needed, and eliminates unnecessary stocks.
What is an ISBN?
International Standard Book Number is a unique identifier for anyone cataloguing, holding or selling a book.
What is Legal Deposit?
Ensuring the British Library has a copy or your work for reference and copyright protection.
Publication
What can I publish? Anything you create, as long as it doesn't break any applicable laws, or is unduly offensive.
How do I publish? Edifree makes it easy; just 3 steps
What does it cost? Unbelievably it is totally free, unless you choose some of the quality services
What format should I supply? We prefer word (.doc / .docx) , but also OpenOffice (.rtf) or PDF.
Does Edifree modify my work? No, Edifree totally respects the integrity of your work.
Is it possible to publish without appearing in the online catalogue? Yes, you have total control over your book.
What about timing for your services?
For free publication and associated services, we expect publication to be within a week.
If you select some of our additional services, then depending on tasks it will take longer:
Professional layout around 1-2 weeks, and professional proofreading around 3-6 weeks.
Customised design of your cover around 1-2 weeks.
Referencing with online Booksellers around 3-6 weeks.
Does my original (source) format have to match what I choose?
No problem; your manuscript will be automatically resized to fit.

How is the selling price decided?
By you. You can see many examples in our online bookshop. Below is an example based on a sales price of £20.

When do I receive my payments?
Around 60 days in arrears, subject to a minimum of £50. You can view the status by simply logging into your account.
What does it cost for me to receive copies?
Simply the cost of production. Just login to your account to order them.
Can I choose between selling digital downloads or physical copies?
Yes; you have complete control of either or both methods of sale.
How do I check my sales? Simply login to your account to track sales in realtime
